Dan-deli-cious trip

Day 1

Hubli

This is my most ambiguous trip till date...

I didn't even knew, I'll be going for a trip this time because It was cancelled more than it was planned...It was decided on the evening that we will be going for a 3 day trip tomorrow...

We were planning for a trip from 2 months that once vacation starts, will go for a trip and crew was around 10 to 12 ppl....

Firstly it was planned for Kerala, then since it was monsoon season, plan changed to Belgavi- Amboli, then to Kodagu, Vizag, Odisha etc...

All this happened for 1 to 1.5 months, by then the crew size reduced to 8 to 10 ppl....

But, inside I seriously wanted to go for a trip....& I started to plan again....because of this, the crew size grew to 5....And I myself enquired resorts near Dandeli....Booked one by paying advance....And all was set for Day 1 of our trip....

Our starting point was Hubballi....I reached Hubli by evening of July 10th....My cousin was in Hubli itself, Maheshwar sir was in Hubli late at night....

Rajmohan sir+ Santoshkumar sir reached Hubli in the morning itself....

They called us when they were near to Hubli and we got ready and left to Hubli Old bus stand..Again there was a mix-up....they went to Hubli New Bus stop where frequency of buses is low...We asked them to come back...

Here we met once again at Hubli old bus stand....

We had our morning tea and as enquired before, we would get buses to Dandeli from Dharwad...We took BRTS bus to Dharwad, we got down at bus stop and walked back towards Jublee circle and waited for bus to Dandeli...Once it came we hogged into it for 2 hours drive...

To be frank, now I was convinced in my mind that, I'm on a trip....

We reached Dandeli at 9.30 AM, as we got down at Bus stop...

Our booking office was right opposite to it....

We ate breakfast and checked in into State Adventures office...

As we showed our online payment and booking details, Mr. John asked us to pay pending balance only in cash...We also wanted a vehicle to drop us to resort as we came by public transport... Everything was arranged and we were explained what all is to be done for that day & next day...It was well planned by the agency as it was more like a routine for them....

Bison River Resort

Accordingly, the Omni driver Mr Yusuf, firstly stopped at a view of Supa Dam which looks like a Mountain amidst of Mountains...it is located at such a height...

We could not enter dam site as it requires permissions... so, we moved forward to Bison River Resort where most of the water activities of Dandeli takes place.

Our package included Kayaking, Boating, Jacuzzi Bath and Zorbing.....Out of all these, Kayaking was the best experience....you can literally feel the force of water during Jacuzzi bath, you will just flow with water if you don't hold on to a rock beside...

Dew Drops Jungle Resort

After these 4 activities, we headed to Supa backwaters, since it has not rained much till now, the inflow was less and level of backwaters was low....We had natural tea at EcoShop of Kadumane estate and the shopkeeper explained a little about all his forest products, about flying tiger - "Hornbill" etc...for my bad luck, in entire day, I couldn't sight one Hornbill also...

The driver then dropped us at our pre-booked resort "Dew Drops"...

We were given two tents for accommodation as per our package...We dropped all our luggage, freshened up and had our lunch...Rested for a while....

Then, Practiced some archery😂😂

After some time, we went cycling into the forest....It was a mesmerizing ride through the forest...

Moving on we settled for the day with a short swim and playing carrom....Had dinner and slept as we had to be well rested for next day....

Day 2

Since all were tired last day because of travel, all had nice sleep and got up around 7.30AM...we cancelled our trekking plan since we had very less time to cover other places...

Next, we directly headed to the swimming pool
