Day 2

Started early morning to Udupi. On the way, we got to know about another famous temple Dharmasthala. So we stopped for Dharshan in Dharmasthala and then drove to Udupi. The road from Hassan to Udupi is all green and ineffable. One must drive this road atleast once during the life time.

Reached Udupi around 3 PM. Checked in the room and went for Dharshan at Udupi Krishna temple.

Day 3

It was a day for kids, a day trip to st.Mary's island. Took a ferry from Malpe beach. The cost of ferry is 400 INR for return journey and travel time is around 45 mins.

Spent half a day indulging ourselves in this fantastic place, doing nothing. Just sit and watch the waves hitting the white sand and the rock formations.

We cant stay overnight there, it's just a day trip.

Returned back to hotel to rest sometime and then headed to hanging bridge and Malpe beach.

Day 4

Started early Morning. Our initial plan was to Kollur and then Murudeswar, but Kollur was not open for Pilgrims due to Covid ( back in December 2020), so have to head directly to Murudeswar.

It's around 102 kms straight road and oh beauty of Sea at one side of the road and Souparnika river on the other side.

We stopped on the beach to spend sometime and then headed to Murudeswar temple.

Had a great Darshan and planned to reach Chikmagalur for night stay. The journey from Murudeswar to Chikmagalur was long and exhausting through the hills not to miss it was all lush green and welcoming.

Our pitstop was Agumbe, it was not in the plan so we just stayed there for a night before driving to Chikmagalur

Day 5

Started early Morning to Chikmagalur. Reached chikmagalur before noon, checked in at the hotel which was booked previous night. It was actually difficult to get a room in Chikmagalur for the stay. After check in, we headed to Mullayangiri peak, Jhari falls and Baba Budangiri

Day 6

We headed to Hebbe falls, it was a 64 kms drive from the town. After reaching, we booked our tickets for the safari. The forest road that taking us to the falls was muddy and wild. The journey was approximately 2 hours and it cost 600INR/ person. Once you reach the jeep point, it's a 2 km walk again to the falls. It was one of the most beautiful waterfalls, serene and majestic. We spent 1 hour and returned back to Jeep point for our way back journey. Overall it was an amazing experience. It was difficult to hold te toddler in a place as the ride was not smooth. People with back pain and little ones should think twice before taking this trip.

On return, we visited Kalhatti falls, Deviramma temple which had a dreamy backdrop and Hirekole lake, another quiet and dreamy place in Chikmagalur.
