ABOUT THE PLACE:
Hoysala Empire has a very rich history especially in South India. It was a mighty Empire in full glory. It is said that King Vishnuvardhana built this "Chennakeshava temple". It is believed to be built around 11th century. At least two to three hours is needed to explore this place.

This place is around 40 km from Hassan and 221 km from Bengaluru. Near by Belur many other un famous temples are present. People coming to Belur also visit Halebeedu which is just 16 km from there.
