I was so confused before I start this trip and being a biker I can’t think about taking a bus or any other public transportation so far!!
I just told my friend that we are going for long ride and guess what!! I dint really tell her how far the road trip will be, she was excited and we quickly packed our stuffs and obviously my bike tool kit as well.
We left Bengaluru at 2Pm on 3rd jan & my target was to reach destination(Gokarna)at 10-11pm unfortunately my rear tyre got bursted at Tumkur so i had to spend about 3-4 hours on way and started towards our destination. I knew that we cannot reach as i planned still my estimation was to reach on the very same night but the temperature was too chilled we were unable handle, we took a room at Shimoga around 12AM to rest for few hours that too in a tiny dirty lodge & paid a lot since the hotel guy thought that we are unmarried couple, lol!!!
We woke up at 5am and I rolled 2 J’s 1for before I start my bike and other one for on way!! We started at 6:30am from Shimoga and wow!! What a stretch road to Sagar I was literally at 135-140kms/hour in that early morning still I needed some more speed!! We reached Sagara at 8:30am and peacefully finished our breakfast and feed my bike and continued towards our destination.
Soon after 20kms we’ll find Jog falls which wasn’t in our list however we still entered for few mins since my friend just wanted to visit. We quickly clicked few snaps and continued our journey!! We entered Shiradi Ghat and it’s really beautiful, extremely awesome road for perfect riders!!
I stopped in the middle of forest where we had a beautiful view of forest and and the river. We also started feeding those monkeys with black face..and I quickly had a J” there too have a beautiful feel(my friend never knows about it, I told her it’s a cigarette)
I continued driving my bike with an amazing skills!! We reached Harihar at around 10:30am and deviated towards Gokarna.. i noticed a road on my left but I couldn’t realise that was the road to Gokarna and I almost crossed 40kms towards Karwar and just stopped for a smoke and asked the shop keeper for Gokarna route, he said it’s Ankola you’ll have drive back for 40kms to reach Gokarna road..oops!! I asked if there’s any other way and he said I’ll have to go inside the rural area and take a launch from there which was more convenient than driving back.
Some how we reached Gokarna after doing all those circus..lol
We bought a room at Kamath Hotel which we s inside city, very cheap A/C room and not many questions by the hotel staff. Actually you don’t need a room on beach if you’ve a vehicle...!
It was my 5th visit to Gokarna but 1st trip with her.
You can literally ditch Goa and say Hello Gokarna!! Everything is convenient we were on the beach from 7pm to 12:30am there’re lots of restaurants at Kudla beach & you get good food,Booz but it’s little expensive if you compare to bar price, it doesn’t matter since you’re not really entertained drink on beach or at those restaurants if you outsource the liquor & food.
After enjoying some pink floyd and Metallica musics with many foreigners at the restaurant we headed back to our hotel at 1Am and guess what?? Beach was still on though!!
Early morning!! We went to the town beach where you find lots of Indian tourists crowd. Since we dint like the crowd and no restaurant around we moved to Om beach.. we found finger count restaurants over there and we settled down at one restaurant and started sipping beers & met a German couple hung out with them, obviously they’d some Manala to share with me????
I was literally enjoying the holiday while my friend was busy enjoying the beauty of beach and few boat rides!! I tried snorkelling for while but not really a good place to snorkel/diving
We winded up after the sunset and came back to hotel since we’d plan to start our return trip to Bengaluru next early morning. But the Gokarna wanted us to enjoy more so we slightly changed our plan and went back to Kudla Beach to enjoy the night with beer and music till 1AM..
Woke up at 11am, quickly had breakfast and packed our stuffs and spent some time on street shopping at Gokarna Temple Road.
Started my bike at 2pm and said “see you soon Gokarna” and it was really a crazy drive, I can give best pillion award to my friend because she never got scared of my speed unless like few people. She just enjoyed the whole journey without saying anything negative!!
You know what? We were in Bengaluru’s home at 10:18pm....✌????
It can be a best ride for those people who love biking, the roads are extremely brilliant on way.
