The writing on the wall is clear "Don't worry be Hampi".....
Hampi is synonymous with happy...
In my experience, Hampi truly is a place where people are happy. Not just the tourist who get "high" from the beauty of this place, even the locals are happy in their own way.
I was looking for food in Anegundi and it was late. All eateries we're closed...my friends had gone to "laughing Buddha" for dinner.
This granny dragged me inside her house and offered a meal. The most precious meal that I had during the trip. She lives in a small house with few things...
She thought me the lesson about why people in Hampi are happy.
Most people in Hampi have figured out the " joy of giving". This joy is the ultimate one. It's not what we have that matters.... it's what we give.
The "Joy" with which she served the meal has no comparison to the "laugh"ing Buddha.
Truly enjoyed the meal and the conversation that followed after dinner.
My friends were telling me in the morning that I missed the food at " Laughing Buddha"...
All I can say joyfully is " Don't worry be Hampi".
