Kabini dam is located Mysore district of Karnataka. Dam is one of major reservoir built across River kaveri. View point is 5 kms drive from the dam.
This was on our 2019 new year Eve. It's an hour drive from Mysore. We left Mysore around 6 in the evening, since it's a forest area you'll enjoy driving through the greenery. Road quality is way below average in some parts. Stay wise your expected to carry your own backpack. You got few resorts like orange county, which are way too expensive. Food part we got in touch with locals and we struck a deal. You'll enjoy the view of backwaters and the peace you experience is just can't be expressed. Definitely worth visiting on your weekends from Mysore and Bangalore
