Tungabhadra Dam

This place was completely unknown to me! And I am so glad that our driver told us about the Tungabhadra Dam. On our way back from Hampi, we were told that Tungabhadra Dam at Hospet is worth visiting especially during the sunset.And it is really worth it!

This dam gets its water from the two Rivers Tunga and Bhadra. Once you park the car,you have to take the buses that ply inside the dam premises.They operate in every 10 minutes and charges 20 INR for a round journey.

Such an artistic gem was this watchtower! Undoubtedly this might be the most beautiful dam that I may have ever visited within the country!

Unexpectedly this little detour for us became a super sweet trip! We enjoyed every bit of it!
