Once again God has given me the opportunity to witness nature at its finest and experience life at the fullest and dream. This time it came to me through a Night Trekking Adventure organised by Dark Green Adventures to Irshalgad Fort.
I left my place at 10.30 pm IST and reached Dadar station by 11.00 pm IST. I met the trek group, socialised and made friends with everyone and added them on my socials and hopped onto the Karjat Fast Local at 11.31 pm.
We reached Karjat at 01.10 am and headed to the toilets in the waiting room to get refreshed and then moved onto the the cabs organised for us to take us to the Trekking Point.
When I reached the Trekking Point, I was basically fine until it happened. The whole scene with the stars in the sky and cool vibes reminded me of my ex and I just couldn't take it anymore. My body was shutting down and it just wanted to curl up into a ball and sleep.
That's when the logical side of my brain told me to ask for help and I did and this lovely lady helped me revive myself and come back to the present instead of letting the past take control of my present.
Our trek leader was called Krishna and it was almost like God himself was leading us and guiding us on this journey.
I then moved on with Electral Water Sips and friendly conversations with people on the trek and felt very comforted and regained my strength and energy as we kept going.
I felt relieved by the time we reached the Base Camp and began snacking and I even took a quick 30 minute nap when we were resting to head towards the Trekking Point.
I met some beautiful souls who gave me a hand while trekking and reminded me that team work makes the dream work and it helped me to keep going and helping other people to capture memories.
Being able to do rock climbing, watch the stars and the sunrise and talk about the fleeting things in life is my love language. To be able to simply be. To be able to simply feel. To be able to simply walk this planet as a human being.
Nature is there to nurture us, all we have to do is receive. With excellent photo opportunities at the top of the trekking point and calling in the Indian Republic Day I was lucky enough to receive love as I went with only love in my heart.
The descend was harder than the climb as we could see where we were going and the awareness that comes with it is powerful. While heading upwards it was dark and we barely saw anything only words of affirmation and company of people kept us going.
The trip was well planned and organised and we also saw mandirs on the way to the Trek which reminded us that God is always making a way.
We reached the base village by 9.00 am and freshened up and left around 10.30 am for the remaining climb down to the ground and the cabs safely took us to the station and we boarded the train back home with happy memories.
All in all if I were to say that the truest lesson I learnt on this trek was that of self-confidence like my friend told me is a state of mind and it can get you through anything.
I also learnt the power of resilience wherein it's important to get back up after a rough fall and multiply good karma for ourselves.
I hope you embark on treks and adventures like these to experience life in the lap of nature and remember to always be kind to the people who are with you on this journey of life because you may never see them again to apologise and by the time you realise it may be too late.
