Kargil War Memorial | Zojila Pass To Kargil | Bangalore to Ladakh

This is Episode 11 from the Ladakh series 2021, and we're travelling from Zoji La Pass to Kargil.

We started our ride from Srinagar. Just after crossing Zoji La pass, Bikram's motorcycle tyre got punctured. Unfortunately, there weren't any motorcycle repair shops available until Drass, which is about 40 kilometres from Zoji La. This caused a bit of trouble.

In Drass, we were able to get a new inner tube for Bikram's motorcycle's front wheel. Afterwards, we visited the Kargil War Memorial, which was a truly humbling experience.

Feeling inspired by the Kargil War Memorial, we continued our ride towards Kargil. However, just 30 kilometres into the journey, Bikram's rear tyre punctured again. By this time, it was almost 7-8 pm, and Kargil was still 15 kilometres away. It was definitely a challenging situation, but we persevered and eventually reached Kargil that night.

We managed to find a nice, budget-friendly hotel just outside Kargil city. While it was a tough day, these kinds of experiences teach us valuable lessons about resilience and resourcefulness.
