Kovalam, an evening well spent

I had been hearing about Kovalam beach and it's famous lighthouse for a while now and decided to visit it since I was making a stop over at Trivandrum for a day, during my Kanyakumari trip.Thought I would put together some of my favorite moments in a single post.Also anyone visiting there, please be cautious during the monsoon season.The last bus back to the station leaves by 8.30 p.m.Make sure to reach by mid afternoon as the lighthouse can get quite crowded by afternoon.Although you cannot enter the observation deck post 6 p.m. you can stay back for the musical light show at 7.30 p.m. Most of the restaurants keep their seafood out for tourists to inspect prior to ordering. Sufficient quantities are served at extremely reasonable rates due to the excess competition.
