This was just one day trip to checkout my travel bucket list. We reached kanyakumari early morning 4 am and straight after checking-in into hotel we left for sunrise point, there was huge crowd waiting for sunrise and the place was completely dark with alot of youngsters hooting and shouting. Sharing some pictures before sunrise.

The view of the Thiruvalluvar huge statue adjacent to the temple stand in front of the sun's spilling out of the clouds and colouring the sky gave away an amazing view.
We waited there for a while and enjoyed the view from the last land of our country, our plan was to get ready and come back to the same place to visit Vivekanand's Rock Memorial.

This magnificent Vivekananda Rock Memorial is located on a small island off Kanyakumari. It has the picturesque Indian Ocean in its back. We took the amazing ferry ride to reach this island.
It is also a Memorial, conceived and laboured for mainly by RSS swayamsevaks, blessed by Ramakrishna Mission, designed by Paramacharya of Kachi Kamakoti Peetham, and for which Swami Chinmayananda of Chinmay Mission gave the first donation.
It is also a Memorial for which all State Governments and Central Government contributed.
Thus, the memorial became a focal point just as Kanyakumari is a meeting point for three seas, The Indian Ocean, The Bay of Bengal and The Arabian Sea, also known as Triveni Sangam.

After resting a while at Triveni Sangam, we left for Vattakottai fort and beach. The fort was just like another normal fort however at the beach giving us view of Indian Ocean. We left for the beach as there was no one there and we started to walk towards left of fort, after a while few villagers came and informed us that this area is prohibited due to the near by Nuclear Power Plant. We took few pictures and left the beach as the sand was complete black, might be due to the chemical waste disposed by the plant.
