"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step"

Osheen 8 years old was very fascinated by the Bicycle from the early childhood. She was an adventure lover girl. Be it cycling, hiking, trekking, running she was always there with our team BCAC (Bhubaneswar Cycling and Adventure Club) in almost all the events from age 4. When she was just 6 years old she had attempted a Bicycle ride from the famous temple of Lord Shiva “Lingaraj Temple, Odisha” to the famous sun temple “Konark” a 61km journey which she successfully completed and booked her name in the India Book Of Records.
She had a dream to ride from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, which we had planned last year 2020. Our plan was to ride around 15 to 20 km everyday and tour all the important places on the way. But due to the Pandemic we couldn’t do it last year and neither this year. This year when her summer holiday started she thought of doing it in virtual, i.e. covering the same distance around 3600 km in our locality.
We started our journey on 17th May 2021 and planned to do around 30 to 40 km ride in our locality i.e. near Nandankan (Odisha). The route was very scenic with almost no traffic. We used to do around 15km to 20km in the morning and 15km to 20km in the evening.
To keep us engaged and entertained on the way we started to plant trees on the way and made a habit of watering it regularly, started feeding the stray dogs on the way.
We never realized that we have covered 1000km mark in 27 days ahead of our target of 30 days.
Waiting for pandemic to over so we have the real ride from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, in the mean time we are enjoying lot our virtual K2K ride.
