Triund is located at the height of 2786m from sea level and is situated in McLeod Ganj, Himachal Pradesh, India.
This trek from Mcleod Ganj is one of the most popular treks in Himachal. It has an unambiguous byway which goes through a beautiful mixed forest of oak, deodar and rhododendron.
From Triund you have most spectacular view of the snow covered peaks of dhauladhar on one side and Kangra valley on the other.
The view was great with the glacier staring at you and the greenery of the high altitude grass soothing your eyes.
Triund is a large land of green grass and pasture like. One can see the mighty Dhauladhar ranges just above the eyes. This is the base camp and climatization point for trekkers climbing the Inderahara point in the Mt. Dhauladhar.
