Beautiful place in 100KM from Bangalore to visit and have fun with friends and family. Awesome place for picnic and we can spend whole day in and around water.
This is place were Arkavathi river and Kaveri Meet and then Kaveri flows through huge rocky mountain cutting and carving her ways through it making the rocks look very fascinating.
Th river is very shallow in this area and we can just cross by Foot to go other side. We are spend fun time playing in water, it is very clear water here. We can spend time on the sand and water to pass your day as picnic.
This route is very beautiful during floral season when tree on both side of the road is covered with red flowers.
You can take bus from other side of the river and reach to Mekedatu where we can go down in the river to see rocky path, rock cutting and water flowing thru these making water fall and curvy path. The view at Mekedatu Gorge is awesome. This view is created by Kaveri with 100s of year of cutting and carving these rocks.
Best route - Take Kanakapura road from Bangalore
