Indian East Coast may not boast of a lot of beautiful beaches but there are some really scenic deltas.
This was one of those trips where you do not plan much - just book tickets and leave. First destination was Razole in Godavari Delta.

I got down at the Palakollu station and boarded a bus to Razole.
After crossing the first distributary of river Godavari, entire view changed. There were huge, lush green paddy fields embanked with string of coconut trees.
I walked around this small town and then went to Antervedi beach in the evening. It wasn't crowded and the sunset was a delight :)
Next day, I boarded a bus towards port town Kakinada. On my way I reached a place named Yanam. The surroundings changed suddenly and I came to know that this well-kept,neat and clean town is a part of Pudaucherry Union Territory.
Before reaching Kakinada, I enountered highlight of the trip - Coringa Mangroves which is 12 KMs away from Kakinada. I got down the bus and was happily surprised to see forest cover. This area is well maintained with wooden walkways(a bridge in the mangrove) around 3ft wide and 6 ft high. If lucky, you can spot turtles and other creatures in the marshes below the bridge.
After crossing the bridge, I was greeted with this mesmerizing view.
I hired a boat operated by AP tourism. It took me on the river and then all the way to majestic Bay of Bengal. I was thrilled by the speed and the scenic beauty.
And my day ended on Kakinada beach under full moon :)
