Being a travel enthusiast i would have wanted to travel every two months, but due to the current situation the chances were lame.
We always want to explore different places, but just ignore the ones which are closer to us. I recently came across one such place - MALSHEJ Lake side camping.
Malshej Ghat being a mountain pass within the Western Ghats range of Maharashtra, India offers some spectacular views in the monsoon and people tend to enjoy the waterfalls. But apart from its lush green floraa and fauna, Malshej has a lot to offer.
Camping nowadays has become a new trend which is picking up in INDIA and many prefer to escape the city life for weekend and one night camping.
Sharing below one such experience.
MALSHEJ LAKE CAMPING is situated on the the banks of Pimplegaon Joga dam near a village - Karanjale in Junnar Tehsil of Maharashtra, 100 kms from Mumbai / 120 kms from Pune.
The campsite check-in time is around about 4 pm, after which Tents are been allotted. They have various tent options depending on the group size - 2 to 8 person tents.
I was delighted by location, the vibes and the cleanliness maintained around it. The campsite must be appreciated for being so neat and clean with dust bins placed over at corners, 3 washrooms each for men and women.
As we were a group of 4 we had the below tent.
At about 5-5:30 i was served hot pakodas and tea just what the weather was demanding. The temperature slowly started dropping and cold breeze began to flow. The campsite was fully booked for the night. Around 30 tents were occupied with 60 pax.
At about 6 pm, witnessed a beautiful sunset sitting beside my tent, listening to instrumental music of 90's. Endings are indeed beautiful!!
As it started getting dark and cold, it was time for having some appetizers. We were given barbeque skewers and stove and our preferred barbeque starters. We had to cook it ourselves, which was one such experience.
After a while it was dinner time, the buffet was set, we were served veg / non veg food as per our preference. The food was authentically made on gas stove made of mud ( पारंपारीक चुलीवरचं जेवण). The taste of the food was out of this world. How could one stop their self from eating lip smacking food at an awesome place with such mesmerizing weather?
Next morning i got up around 6, it was still dark and chilled outside the tent. After freshening up, i got my hot cup of tea. I could see people slowly getting up.
I could hear people talking, but as soon as the sun started rising, the campsite went silent.
Everybody on the campsite was witnessing the spectacular view that the nature had to offer. I could feel the calmness, the serenity at that place. It was THE MOMENT, i could never forget. The Instrumental music was just adding more beauty to that place.
The bright rays of the sun just warmed up the weather. I had my breakfast while soaking some Vitamin D.
As i said earlier endings are always beautiful. Every ending is the beginning of something new, all we have to do is hustle in between, and the cycle continues!!!
