Frustrated from my daily hectic schedule, I decided to travel to a place which can offer me Isolation and can relax my soul, heard so many stories about this beautiful place situated in the Banjar Valley of Himachal Pradesh, So, I planned my trip to Jibhi and Jalori, booked the bus, packed my bag and started my journey towards Jibhi.
Started my whole night journey from Delhi to Aut(from where we take bus to Jibhi).
It took us around 13 hours to reach Aut, I could feel those huge mountain welcoming me. Then the real fun started when I took my favorite ride in Himachal, the Local bus, Oh I just can't express my love for these buses, they are colourful, they are cheaper in prices and they offer hell lot of adventure the moment you step in, and not to forget, you get a chance to meet Locals and interact with them in such buses. It took us around two and a half hours to finally reach Jibhi.
After reaching this beautiful place first thing I noticed was the absence of big buildings, Pollution and honks.
Next thing was the search for a stay close to nature and the search came to an end, I literally kept staring for few minutes at my tree house, where I spent whole day roaming around and capturing some beautiful shots of the nature around.
Being a Delhiite it is very difficult to find so much of greenery and a real blue sky.
Once I was done admiring the beauty around I headed towards Jibhi Waterfall which was just 10 minutes of Walk away from my place, and as expected the waterfall was hidden in lush green forest, offering great views and due to low tourist volume the place was clean too.
Once I returned to my place, it was around 6 Pm and a masala chai(tea) and egg maggie was a necessity.
Ending the day with a bonfire, home made dinner, some drinks and some great company was the best thing to do.
Waking up with such beautiful view is a great start of the day, after a heavy breakfast of parathas and chai the plan was to head towards the Jalori pass which was around 12 Kms away. Took a taxi to Jalori and the views were mesmerizing. It took us around 2 hours to reach Jalori pass and I was literally in love with this place the moment I stepped out of taxi. Clear blue sky and a view of Dhauladhar range was just amazing.
So, the next step was to find a stay with some great views and I just found a perfect camp for myself.
Without any second thought I decided to keep my bag in camp, carry a water bottle and started my trek towards Serolsar Lake.
And here starts the best part of my whole trip, a walk in jungle with awesome views and changing weather, I was prepared for a direct sunlight, no idea how it suddenly started raining hails. But that's the best part of mountain you can not predict what's coming your way.
Finally we could see the Beautiful Serolsar lake and it was shining from far away as if it is calling us to admire and respect the history behind it.
We also visited Mata Buddi Nagin temple which is a pilgrimage for Himachali people, pilgrims from all around Himachal visit this place and pray for their better health and future.
Had a conversation with the priest at the temple, he told us very strange stories about the lake and temple, which one should listen from the priest himself and avoid reading it on internet, trust me it was worth visiting this place.
After long conversations and some photo sessions it was time to head our way back to camp. It was around 6 pm and the colours of sky were playing us.
Spending some time under the stars, stargazing, singing songs it was time to sleep and the next day was the day I just hated the most.
Here comes the last day of my trip, waking up with the best view, I just wanted to stay here but that's the saddest part of traveling, you have to return back to your home one day and continue your same old stuff.
Had some Rajma Rice against one of the best views and continued my journey back to home.
Now posting this journey of mine gives a smile on my face.
