Saudi Arabia has made significant strides in attracting Indian travelers by forging corporate partnerships and introducing exciting tourism offerings. These initiatives aim to tap into the immense potential of the Indian market, with Saudi Arabia anticipating India to become its largest source market for tourism by 2030.

In collaboration with the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL), the Saudi Tourism Authority has launched exclusive promotional packages through renowned travel agencies like Akbar Travels, SOTC, Make My Trip, Cleartrip, and Ease My Trip. These packages aim to position Saudi Arabia as the premier leisure destination for Indian travelers.

To facilitate the visa process, Saudi Arabia has opened multiple VFS Tasheer visa offices, serving as authorized visa partners for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. These offices ensure efficient and secure administrative visa services, further streamlining the travel experience.

Enhancing air connectivity, IndiGo Airlines has introduced a new route from Ahmedabad to Jeddah, offering daily direct flights starting from August 11, 2023. This development is expected to bolster tourism between the two countries.

Aiming to showcase its leisure and entertainment offerings, Saudi Arabia has inaugurated VIA Riyadh. This luxury shopping and entertainment district features The St. Regis hotel, 23 international brands, 17 restaurants, and seven cinemas. VIA Riyadh is an integral part of Saudi Vision 2030, a comprehensive plan to diversify the economy and develop the entertainment sector.

In addition, Saudi Arabia has introduced the Stopover Visa, enabling Indian passengers traveling with Saudia to enjoy up to 96 hours in the country and receive a complimentary hotel night. This initiative aims to encourage visitors to explore the attractions and experiences Saudi Arabia has to offer.

Through these strategic partnerships with airlines, tour operators, and the IPL, Saudi Arabia is firmly establishing itself as a prime leisure tourism destination.
