The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention inspected over 200 active cruise ships and most of them received passing grades with at least an 86 on the agency's 100-point sanitation score. However, some of those got failing grades for various reasons, such as improperly-stored food and flies in food and beverage areas.
The least score was awarded to Japan Cruise Line's Pacific Venus ship with just 76 out of 100 points. Here is a list of six cruise ships in descending order that currently operate in the US market and received a failing grade during their most recent CDC inspection.
