Japan has always been on the bucket list of every traveler and one of the main reasons has been the very astonishing Cherry Blossom Festival also known as Hanami. I also wanted to travel to Japan to witness this beautiful phenomenon.
However, last year when I moved to South Africa the locals always mentioned how beautiful the summer in South Africa is. One of my friends even mentioned that it looks similar to what he had experienced during his last visit to Japan during the Cherry Blossom Festival - Now that is what got me excited!
Last month the summer started setting in and the landscape started to change. All the trees started changing its color and Jacaranda flowers started to bloom. Every street is now covered in a purple blanket and it looks surreal. Below pictures might give you a glimpse of what I am experiencing currently.
The summer season in South Africa is highly underrated and if you are planning a trip to South Africa make sure it is during Sept - Nov, for you to experience this magnificent and beautiful country in PURPLE :)
