Day 1

Srinagar is the capital of Jammu and Kashmir. The city which lies between the valley and experiences all the excitements of different seasons and the cultures from the variety of people in the city.

I was born in Srinagar and since then i have never left my hometown and never would want to. The changing in weather, air and the city life mixed with the nature and never changing culture which one would actually want to leave.

There are a lot of places to visit in Kashmir and Srinagar itself has a number of places to visit either artificial places or the never ending natural beauty.

Dal lake: It is the 2 longest lake in Srinagar and is the most visited place by the tourists. The wooden houseboats which are in the lake add an extra beauty to it where tourists can stay or the hotels on the banks of the lake and the Mughals gardens which are visited by the number of tourists every years since a number of centuries.

Old city(downtown): Here you can see the architecture of the old houses and some old bridges on the jehlum river which lets us know how people used to live in past in Kashmir. And a number shrines located in different areas of the old city.

Shankaracharya Hill: The place from where you can see the whole Srinagar and the busy life of the city. How city is covered in any season.

Dhara hills or Zabarwan hills: Just staying in the city you can experience the wildlife in the Dachigam national park and the streams flowing from mountains. And also can trek or camp in the mountains when you are only in Srinagar.

There are a lot more places to visit in Srinagar or Kashmir if anyone of you wants to visit the place just dm for more suggestions. I would be happy to help you.

The sunsets and the shikara ride in the dal lake.
