Nestled at the foothills of Zabarwan Mountain Range at an altitude of 5600 ft, 1.5 million tulips are waiting to mesmerise visitors with its grandeur from March 20th -May in Srinagar.
Govt of J&K organizes the Kashmir Tulip festival every year to celebrate the onset of the spring season in Kashmir as part of the Bahaar-e-Kashmir event in Srinagar. This festival lasts for fifteen days or a month.
Spread across about 30 hectares, this 7 terraced garden is built on a mountain slope, with many sections, and each section is designed by gardeners to make it unique.
Location of the Tulip Garden?
It is located 9 km away from Srinagar city. The Dal Lake, Nishat Bagh, and Chashma Shahi Garden surround this gorgeous garden on three sides.
How to reach the Tulip Graden?
Regular Bus service is available on the route from Lal Chowk Srinagar at a fare of Rs. 10 per passenger. The nearest bus stop is on the Boulevard road near Cheshma Shahi crossing at a walking distance of about 900mts from the Tulip Garden.
Shared taxi can be also hired from Lal Chowk or Dal Gate to reach the nearest bus stop on Boulevard road.
Opening and Closing hours
The garden remains open from 7:00am to 7:30pm 7 days a week.
Entry Fee
Rs.50 per adult and Rs.25 Per Child.
Major Highlights of the Tulip Festival in 2022
🌷With new varieties of tulips added every year, the garden will be a riot of colour, as 1.3 million tulips of 62-varieties are expected to bloom in 2022.
🌷The garden has also been equipped with modern day facilities like Free WiFi, Fountains, Washrooms, Open-air Cafeteria, Decorated stalls and kiosks.
🌷Extra plants like daffodils, hyacinths, narcissus and other ornamental plants are planted with water channel running through the terraces.
🌷Visitors can also buy souvenirs and savor Kashmiri dishes with decorated stalls and kiosks exhibiting cuisine and handicrafts of Kashmir.
