The skies were dripping with the hues of the setting sun. The never-ending vastness of the barren land filled me with a sense of deep euphoria.
The stars were aligned in the most beautiful way.
Hold your breath as I show you around, what can't be put into words.
LADAKH – A PHOTOBLOG.
1. A Chanced Rendezvous
And it so happens that the mountains couldn't resist anymore, what the skies sprayed into their parched mouths.
2. The Last Moon on Earth
Stranded here on planet Earth, you would still get a glimpse of cones rising out of the mountains.
Spread out on the vast expanse of a terrain that is unlike anything you've ever seen.
3. The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind.
The Ladakhis believe that wind shall carry goodwill, peace and harmony from the prayer flags and spread it all over their lands.
And so it has.
4. Born out of Rocks
Houses built as though they were a part of the mountain itself.
It's not hard to understand why Ladakhis are so deeply connected to their land.
5. Acres of Land, just enough food
Ladakhi climate is more suitable for animal husbandry rather than growing crops.
These animals, are their only lifeline.
6. Moonscaped Vistas
It is surreal to take in the unsurpassable beauty of the lunar landscapes. Just wait till the Sunlight hits the rocks.
A jaw-drop wouldn't suffice.
7. 50,000 shades of Gold
These mountains often bleed gold, yellow, rust and everything brown.
And we got drenched.

8. The Goat's Den
Walking down the village hills, many of these little beauties would warmly greet you.
Be nice to them and might just be ready to pose for you!
9. The Bird That Never Sat Still
A lot of my memories revolve around running around Magpies, to get a perfect shot.
And just when I had given up hope,
This happened.
10. The Stream of Grime
Ladakhis have a very interesting allocation of streams.
While most are reserved only for drinking, there are some reserved only for washing clothes.
11. Zing-Chok
He doesn't know how lucky he is, to have the entire world spread out, in his view.
12. The Village of Tso-Moriri
And the gods turned in the arms of the heaven,
How on Earth could this look exactly the same?
13. A Dollop of Snow on Top
Rough edges often make for soft hearts.
14. The Only Planet
To live an entire life out here, looking at you,
Won't be enough.
15. The Recipe to create a Ladakhi
An ounce of humility, two of gratitude, a hint of mischief and lots of undiluted laughter.
16. Somewhere over the Rainbow
Nestled in the heart of Ladakh, is the beautiful little village of Hemis Shukpachan.
17. The Last Light
With a sigh, the sun beamed his last smile.
How could he have created something that beautiful?
18. Simple Pleasures
I'm as old as I'm young!
19. Kyagar Tso
Tread carefully lest you might fall forever in love with me.
20. The Backpacked Kid
We go there for an unknown adventure.
For them, it is a routine.
21. Marooned
In the midst of browns, we found a patch of green-marooned.
22. The Road That Was Taken
If the journey is so mesmerising, let me never reach the destination.
23. Julley
Come here with open hearts and you will be welcomed.
Come here with closed hearts,
You will still be welcomed.
24. He who carved Mountains out of Roads
Srinagar to Leh,
A road trip you must take while you still breathe.
25. Humble Beginnings
He moulded the lands and turned the skies. Thinking he was the master of all.
Man and his absurdities.
Ladakh, is an experience that you don't want to miss.
An open heart and a curious mind.
Everything else is redundant.
I hope you loved going through these pictures as much as I enjoyed clicking them.
