KASHMIR trip - paradise on earth.

A good time comes with a special trip.
Yes true, that's the story of an unforgettable tour to "KASHMIR ".
So, let's gear our vehicle of reading and move forward :

1. How to reach Srinagar?
By Air - Take a flight to Delhi, from there connecting flight to Srinagar.
By Train : From Delhi you can take a train to jammu and from there can travel by bus to reach Srinagar.
I recommend Air travel for safe and short travel to save time.

2. After arrival :
On our arrival we (group of 6) were received by Let us Travel together company guide at airport.
It was a pleasant welcome to Srinagar and propagating I was shocked and scared little bit when I saw group of Indian army men surrounding every 100m away for security reasons.
This can be seen only in Kashmir region and its very rare in India.

3. SRINAGAR tour
I have booked houseboat near Gate no 11.
On reaching in it was a like a palace view inside surrounded by Famous Dal lake.
That Day we rested had delicious lunch and moved ahead for our tour :
👉 Afternoon go to the famous Mughal Gardens - Chashme Shahi(Royal Spring), Nishat Bagh(Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love).
👉 Evening enjoy shikara river ride and relax with beautiful view. Then dinner & Overnight stay in houseboat.
Pay : 500 to 600 rs for shikara ride.
Be cautious during booking related to fares.

Srinagar to Kargil (Distance: 201.7km)
It takes around 6 hours to reach via Drass Memorial.
👉Visit to Drass War Memorial, Kargil main street (dry fruits and good food).
I got goosebumps on reaching Drass. We need to take a ticket to view documentary video of Kargil war and martyred soldiers, and its cilmax brings tears really & is 100% worth to watch and later we can visit memorial.
👉 Kargil tour by walk , and night stay at kargil.

Kargil - Sonamarg – Srinagar (123 km to sonamarg from kargil & 79 km to srinagar from sonamarg)
👉Early morning visit to see LOC view point.
👉 Enjoy the scenary of sonmarg and took a horse ride to beautiful mountains that taken 3-4 hours total time.
Per person: 800 to 1000 rs max (horse ride)  Return to Srinagar evening and stay at night.

Srinagar to Gulmarg (51 km / 1hr 50 min drive)
👉Take Gondola cable car ride (takes upto 14000 feet high altitude)
Per head :1700 rs ticket
It's world highest cable car ride.
👉Visit Strawberry field
👉 Visit Alpather lake(13km from Gulmarg), Shrine of Baba Reshi
👉 Visit city by walk to njoy the nature.

Gulmarg - Uri - Srinagar (85 km/ 3hr drive )
👉 Way to uri is showing via Baramulla in maps.
👉 URI : we visited India pak border where peace trading takes place.
Also visited NHPC plant.
👉 Return to srinagar and overnight stay at hotel.

Gulmarg - Pahalgam - Srinagar (140 km/ 3hr 30 min) &
( 92 km / 2hrs 30 min return)
👉Early morning way to Pahalgam.
👉visit the last scenic village of the Lidder Valley, Aru(15 km)
👉 visit sheshnag lake.
Back to srinagar and stay at hotel.

This day we spended on shopping at Srinagar.
Enjoyed Dal lake ride again and had a great time in houseboat before we checkout to airport.
Return to airport evening and back to Mumbai via Delhi flight.
