Whoooaaaa!!! I was speechless for so many days after finishing my trip so I couldn't post it till now. Then I decided to write less and put more pictures to say it all.
I'm gonna write about Nubra Valley, Pangong Tso and Leh in next posts separately as I have stories for all these places to share and just don't want to make this post lengthy. :P
Keep reading....!!!! Cheers !
The journey from Srinagar to Leh is more beautiful than the destination. The more you cover the route the more you get excited with the picturesque mountains around you. You would not want to take a nap and miss even a bit of it, trust me...!!! *A silly friend of mine slept in the car most of the time while traveling which is one of the dumbest thing EVER I've seen.... Grrrrrr....!!!!*
Day 1: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La pass
The corniche you cross while going to Khardung La brings such an adventure which is unforgettable for the rest of your life. We stayed pretty longer than 25 mins. at Khardung La which is not advisable due to less Oxygen level but the snowfall, bone chilling wind and the excitement of reaching the highest motorable road in the world made us spend more time there and make memories for lifetime. Thankfully, none of us caught AMS. ;) Day 2: Nubra Valley covering Hunder and Turtuk village
Day 3: Turtuk - Diskit - Pangong Tso via Shyok River (This is an unconventional & most adventurous route)
Day 4: Pangong Tso - Leh
Day 5: Hemis Monastery (We were lucky enough to witness Annual Hemis festival :)) - Shey Palace - Hall of Fame - Leh town There is so much to write but I'm gonna cover each place from Day 2 to Day 5 in my next posts.
