Ladakhi celebrations always starts with "Larna" is a piece of Ladakhi music that marks the beginning of all the celebrations. it makes the occasion auspicious and bring good luck as per Ladakhi traditional society. this piece of music plays on "Daman(drum) and Surna (Shahnai)"

Chabskyan Dance: During the Namgyan Dynasti, the male royal dancers used to perform this dance for the king. It is said that the dancers of this special dance used to be show skills that could serve chang (Ladakhi beer) to the king from their Chabskyan (pitcher) without letting a drop. this dance reminds a sweet memory of royal period.

Shon Dance from Zanskar valley: During the months of summer young boys and girls of Zanskar take their animals to the high mountains and they stay there for whole summer for collecting Cheese and butter for the winters. This is a special dance of Zanskar which means ohh dear friends now it is a good time,happiest every day & here to enjoy.
