A Trip To Remember

Everyone wants to land up in heaven afterlife..and you know.i am not even quarter to century and i couldnt believe that the day came into my life suddenly on 27th January 2021...ohhh pls i am not a ghost but I was in Kashmir. An unforgettable Trip with my family. This was so sudden that i had no time to think, search or write down my ideas on what i would do..but the beauty is when you reach  and your eyes capture those mesmerising sceneries,Those Mountains covered with snow, that sky emerging with snow mountains.. Everything seems to be a poetry and yes, Cameras are allowed in this heaven.
I captured whatever I could and rest is in my memories forever!!!
and right now as I write of it I feel “ Winter is Here”.

Now if you are planing a trip for 3-4 days then kashmir can be a perfect destination for you to travel.

As soon as we arrived at the Srinagar airport,got our Covid test done. After we reached at the hotel we had Kashmiri Kahwa (Traditional Green Tea) and breakfast and we left to explore our first location.

Srinagar,city serves  as the central point with major attractions like Gulmarg, Sonmarg, Pahalgam etc.
In Srinagar we went for the shikara ride in dal lake and for the first time in my life I witnessed floating market, a floating post office -In fact, the surprising factor here is that it is not the only floating post office in India, but also in world, which makes it a unique piece of architecture! and the mesmerising view of the distanced snow caped mountains. Not only this but we stayed a night at a houseboat too. Waking up with a view of lake was one of the best morning I’ve ever had witnessed.

We went to pahalgam from Srinagar. Pahalgam is famous for its scenic beauty and is the jewel of the picturesque Liddar valley located in the high Himalayas.
We planned to travel for beetab valley -
The valley which got its name from the Sunny Deol-Amrita Singh hit debut film Betaab
And it falls between Pahalgam and Chandanwadi and is en route Amarnath Temple Yatra. The valley surrounded by lush green meadows, snow clad mountains and covered with dense vegetation and this place can be your best memory in the entire Kashmir trip.

Gulmarg it is, a breathtakingly beautiful hill town, a huge tourist attraction. Our Itinerary was detailed to the T. Our first halt was at the very famous Gondola Ride - the cable car. The ride will take you all the way up to mt. Apharwat (3747 meters) from where you get a panoramic Himalayan views including major peaks like nanga Parbat.

The ride has two levels, each with its share of beauty and price. The point from start to first halt will cost you around 700 NRI and point 2 will cost around 900 NRI. Those comfortable with heights can opt to came back from the kondoori valley (400 meters) up the mountain. Also the opening and closing timing of gondola Gulmarg is from 10AM to 5PM. Don’t get late.

Gulmarg is an once in a lifetime experience. This beautiful hill town is also an adventure destination, there are aplenty adventure sports available ranging from skiing to ATV rides. Everything including snow gear - Coats, shoes, Skates is available at a reasonable price. Needless to say locals are friendly but make sure you get a good bargain for your buck.
