We had traveled to bir from jalandhar.The journey was around 205km. We started our journey at 6am in the morning and reached after 5-6 hours long drive. Our road trip was extremely seamless, smooth road without any bumps made our jaunt thrilling & safe from start to finish.
Total 5 people along with a very cute travel creature ,our puppy "hash" was part of our travel jaunt dairies.
Pre-booking of hotel task was still pending , so we decided to book on the spot .
We all started searching for a good hotel and that very moment we realised that hotels were much less in comparison to hostels and home stays.
After an exhausting struggle of an hour in searching for a decent accommodation , we finally discovered an affordable & supremely comfortable good stay @hosteller, they even allowed us to keep our oh-so adorable pet with us , a separate 4 bed bunker room was provided to us that costed 440 Rs per person.
I think hosteller is best & coolest place for both working & chilling activities , a perfect place to enjoy vibe of comfort, space & solitude .
Around evening , we explored the local market and also the paragliding landing site at Bir.
We came back to our hostel and enjoyed the serene view of nature & people chilling & relishing different types of cuisine along with beverages. Joining them was kind of an obvious & intuitive move made by me & my friends and within a short span of time we got completely comfortable with so called " strangers " transitioned into friends !
After a hearty conversation & party, all of us exchanged numbers & shared insights about corporate world experiences and life in general.
We went to sleep after that blissful evening party, as early morning paragliding was next in our plan, we already booked for paragliding slot priorly.
We all got up around 7am our paragliding team is at the door to take us to the Billing "paragliding take off site".But that time we are not ready so we want to reschedule but one of us forced us to get ready faster but we are lucky its raining and in rain we can't takeoff so the paragliding team suggested us to explore waterfall and other local sites till weather is not clear.So we went to Gunehar waterfall its a small track of 40-60 minutes.but due to raining its not safe to visit waterfall so we clicked some pictures and returned to our room.Then we walked to local market and also landing site and clicked some more pictures.And back to the room and then our paragliding team called that weather is clear so lets go. Then they sent a Mahindra bolero Camper a proper off-road vehicle to pick us. That moment everyone's heart was racing and was filled with exhilaration and anticipation but we did it. Bir Billing is Asia's Highest Paragliding Point the height is 2430m.
This is the last day of our trip so we have to visit Gunehar waterfall .We got up early in the morning packed our luggage its time to say goodbye to everyone and checked out the hostller . And we went to the waterfall there were small childrens who guide you to trekk which is around 40-60 minutes and they charge you 100-200Rs.when we reached to waterfall the view was so amazing.i can assure you that experiencing the bliss of mother nature via waterfall sight will make you forget all your dilemmas,as the sound of flowing water is truly infused with healing vibes and tranquility. After enjoying 2-3 hours over there headed back to jalandhar and after 5-6 hours drive reached safely to jalandhar
