Trip to the Golden City of India

Jaisalmer is sometimes called the "Golden City of India" because of the yellow sandstone used throughout the architecture of both the fort and the town. The city is quite small and you can explore the whole city in a single day, and in the evening you can enjoy the delicious street food available near the fort. Bhang ka lassi is a must-try if you ever visit Jaisalmer. I find it quite a romantic place for couples, with part of the historic fort converted into hotels, and one can spend the evening looking at the silent city from the Jaisalmer fort.
