The Gadisar Lake is around 1.5 km from the Jaisalmer fort. We walked through the city and the striking golden buildings made me feel like i was walking through the lanes of a different era. Its surprising to see that this place has kept the feeling of that emperor era intact. As walk through the gullies of the city you will get to see a lot of small shops selling all the iconic rajasthan clothes, scarfed, heavily embellished carpets with ethnic motifs. The walk is indeed colorful. We reached the lake after 15 mins of walk, the sight of the lake itself induces calmness, there is a public entrance to the lake and there are multiple cafes as well.
we had lunch from the cafe and decided to spend some quality time there. The food was fabulous and we continued to be there for the evening coffee.
As we were there , we saw multiple flocks of pigeon visiting the lake. There are boat ride facilities in the lake and there were lot of pigeon shaped boats on the lake after the afternoon sun .
