Two Girls In Jaipur

After arrival at jaipur airport it didn’t took us long to reach our hotel in Jaipur city. Since we reached Jaipur in the evening hence we decided to go for an evening stroll. Nevertheless it turn out to be an evening market stroll for us since at the twelfth hour we decided to go to babu market. It is a vibrant and colourful market. Not to forget the market is quite a treat for the tourists. It got quite dark before we could enjoy the market properly so we decided to come back on some other day.

On second day we decided to visit the iconic Amer fort. It is an hour journey from Jaipur city Center. We booked Ola cab for the whole day and started our venture in Jaipur. The road journey to the fort is quite interesting. On our way to the fort we crossed Jal mahal. The road to the fort seemed quite historic. As soon as we reached the fort parking area I could notice the humungous tourist crowd. There were vendors everywhere selling from umbrella to flutes. It all gave a mixed feeling of euphoria and nervousness. The umbrellas were quite colourful though. On entrance we need to buy tickets and then move on to the fort. The main entrance and fort is separated by a huge area and stairs. Dripping in sweat we crossed the stairs that took us inside the fort. The fort is magnificent and gives a sense of proud to all Indians. It is indeed made with lot of logic and engineering. The cool breeze refreshed us and we started enjoying our exploration. There is a lot history involved. The most interesting part for me was the the kind of engineering used to build different sections in the fort for summers and winters. After an hour or two of visit we decide to jog on to some meal at 1135 Ad restaurant. It was a great first day aim Jaipur and after having a heart full delicious meal we took our rice back to jal mahal. It is a long walkable area around the lake over which hawa mahal stood strong through years. With the sunset on the lake our day ended with a pleasant smile and leg ache.

On day three we decide to do something easy and nearby. We visited the Albert hall museum in the afternoon. The ticket price is not much and the museum was also not very big. But it was interesting and the mummy in the museum was the most interesting part for me. We took a lot of pictures in the museum and outside it too. Just nearby to the museum is a small eating area called masala market. We went there to have some snacks and tea. We waited for the evening to see the light show at Albert hall museum. It was worth the wait.

On our fourth day we decided to finally go to market area again and this time we decided to go in the morning. At 11am we reached the market place. Since shops were just opening we decided to visit hawa mahal which is nearby. Here also there is a ticket and guides here annoy you a lot to hire them even if you don’t want to. In front of the Hawa mahal are few restaurants which give a good instagram photos plus good food. Near to the hawa mahal is jantar mantra. We visited that too though I think I shouldn’t have. Later we entered the market area for shopping and pani puri. The rates in the shops were overpriced and required bargaining if you want to buy because it’s the last day of your tour. The market consumed a lot of our time and fourth day went like a click.

On our final day we visited city palace. It is a small palace as compared to that of udaipur but still you can visit it. The kings family still resides in one part of the palace where tourist are not allowed. We spent the evening in the world trade park mall. It is a good mall and one of the biggest in Jaipur. Some good brands like zara and inglot is there, while many shops are still in the phase of opening. This was our last day in Jaipur and we covered almost all main attraction areas. The next we boarded our flight back with great memories of Jaipur in our heart.
