Presenting the three unique wines: Cinque Terre Doc, A Scia, and my personal favorite Sicacchetrà (from left to right).
The red wine called A Scia, produced by the only woman winemaker of Cinque Terre. Only 3.000 bottles per year. A blend of Merlot , Syrah and Sangiovese. Smooth, fruity with a slight spiciness.
Next up is the red wine being produced by the only woman winemaker of Cinque Terre, Marzia. Only 3.000 bottles per year, the wine is made in barrique.
A blend of Merlot , Syrah and Sangiovese. Perfect to be tasted now but even better in a couple of years. Best said, “A penny for an old wine is always worth it”. Smooth, fruity with a slight spiciness. The name of the wine is: A scià
Cinque Terre Doc is a White Wine produced by Alessandro. Elegant and enchanting aroma of peach, yellow flowers and aromatic herbs. The palate is dry, fresh and it invites you to have more and more
Nessun Dorma Cantina is your go-to place in Cinque Terre where you can discover and taste Cinque Terre wines (and also great Italian wines) and participate in the "Wine route and Tasting Experience". It is located in the church square of Manarola, in the historic heart of the village. The Cantina was restored and opened in 2018 but its construction dates back to the XIX century (1864) and the stone ceiling is authentic of that period. Sara, the wine manager will lead you in the discovering of the local and Italian wines, how it is produced, its story and its speciality.
I am a sucker for wines and I have tasted wines from many parts of the globe. But trust me when I say this, the taste of the wines produced in Cinque Terre at Nessun Dorma Cantina, will leave you wanting more.
Let's dig into their specialty, shall we?
