I planned this trip originally with a friend of mine from University, but we ended up meeting and losing other friends of ours along the way. We didn't want a touristy trip, so we did everything on the fly and just went to explore and experience the cities for what they are, no planning.

Copenhagen

Danes are a unique species, people everyone needs to observe for themselves. We also ended up being there during a street festival called Distortion, which was amazing.

London

We stayed with the family of a friend of ours from school - it was hilarious to witness the activity of a classic British family.

Berlin

We stayed with the family of my best friend and host sister from an exchange I did two years ago. Seeing her was amazing in and of itself, but staying with a German family helped us understand their style better and pick up some German on the side.

Verona

The food in Italy - my favorite place for food besides the healthy, organic aspect of Denmark. Stereotypical, but true. And the wine.

Venice

I mean, it's Venice. Who can't appreciate the beauty of Venice?

Rome

I spent my last day alone in Rome, and it was one of the most amazing experiences. So liberating, and seeing the sights at night was unlike anything I've done before.
