Bhopal For Me:
I love Bhopal. What makes me fall in love is the cleanness of the city and Bhopalis's contribution to keep it clean and green.
Plant, Plant, Plant, Trees:
I myself saw them planting trees on the streets and giving them water on the road every day. I was like "Seriously? They don't cut down trees for anything and keep planting trees even the road is full-tummy.
There gesture touched me and motivated me to plant trees on the roadside also, not only on 5 June but whenever you wish or like.
Uncontaminated Air:
Air is also clean and fresh, and the city is devoid of any kind of pollution compared to other cities.
The clouds are so clean that you see the blue sky in the morning and starry sky at night.
Despite being a city where all luxuries are there, Bhopal is connected to its roots, which makes it even more beautiful.
Garbage Truck As An Alarm Clock:
The funniest thing that I found there, which was a very clever idea, is they made a song to pick up the garbage, the garbage truck used to come in the morning, and move colony to colony to collect garbage.
They have this song "ab Bhopal ki bari...no. 1 ki hai tayari" playing, their iconic tune which means they are here to collect trashes.
Initially, the song sounded good, (good music) but after some time it started working as an alarm clock, its tune started ticking in the ears.
After that, they composed another song which I'm not getting, but the "no. 1 ki hai tayari" steals the show. The song was a star.
Veg Biryani Food Truck:
My non-veg followers won't agree with me, (as there is no such thing as veg biryani) but there is a VEG biryani food truck in Bhopal. Which I think is the best vegetarian biryani I ever ate.
It's in M.P Nagar, Zone I, in front of Vishal Mega Mart. Although there are many delicious restaurants around. But the food truck named, Biryani Express is excellent among them. As you have to stand there and eat in a crowded place, like a Gol-Gappa, which is really enjoyable.
They also serve complimentary raiyta, mirchi, salad, etc, charge ₹30 for half plate and ₹50-60 for a full plate.
They also have kababs, chawal-chole, soup but Veg Biryani is a show stealer. It's scrumptious smell and taste is *yummm* (I can see & smell it in front of me now)
Shopping Groceries Go Ondoor:
(However, Ondoor is also available in Indore, their market is mainly in MP)
Ondoor gave me the best shopping experience. It was a bliss during my stay in Bhopal. As I am not a shopper type and not at all like shopping, I used to order my daily items on Ondoor and they free delivered it to my place.
What I didn't like, they never provide me with fresh fruits. However, they give at the reasonable price but still "what is the use when fruits are not fresh?"
What I like about Ondoor is that they always have offer, if I buy items of ₹200 or something, they give 1kg potatos or tomatoes or onions, or Maggie etc items free.
Upper Lake- Heart Of The City:
Whether in the morning or in the evening or at night, there is a distinct peace and relaxation in this place.
The best thing is its sunset and also peace in the crowd of nightlife
It is a truly beautiful city. Also, there are countless other things that make this place better.
