1. Desa Pinggan

Located in East of Bali, there is a village named Pinggan. To get there, you need a long drive since the area is quite remote. It takes 2.5 hours driving from Kuta Beach to Pinggan Village. You do not necessarily have to hike just to enjoy sunrise. The parking area is nearby sunrise spot. A local guide will show you the perfect spot to capture sunrise. It’s windy and dark up there, so don’t forget a jacket and a flashlight.

2. Pura Ulun Danu Bratan

Ulun Danu Bratan is another destination where you can capture golden ray and mist. This place is located in mountains near Bedugul. Since the temple is an official for tourism, you will need to get a ticket to enter the whole area. You can spend the rest of your morning enjoying the view of misty temple and watch a religious ceremony held by locals during the day.

3. Kebun Raya Bali

This botanic garden is not so far from Ulun Danu Temple. Known as Indonesia’s largest botanic garden, the area is about 389 acres. Besides used as conservation and botanical research area, the garden is also for recreation and education centre. Inside the area, a traditional balinese guesthouse is open for public. You can spend the rest of your day in the wood with wild monkeys while having a short stay at the guesthouse.

3. Batur Lake

The lake is quite reachable and not quite hidden. The sinking house is the only uniqueness you can see in Batur Lake. Normally, the water reaches half of the house height, but during the end of the year you can see the the whole building above the water. With tripod, wide lens and ND filter, you can perfectly capture the reflection of the house and mountain view.

4. Floral Garden in Kintamani

If you drive in along Kintamani area, you will be dazzled by the beauty of its nature. Don’t hesitate to stop by if you pass through any beautiful spots, even if you need to park your car in the bushes. Take a walk into the woods and let the way lead you to a floral garden where the farmers harvest their crops. There are unknown beautiful rice fields and floral gardens that you will hardly find in other places in Bali, so grab your camera everywhere in Kintamani.
