I will never forget Pondicherry because it was the trip where I got to learn the most.
Since most of my friends always cancel the trip, I didn't ask anyone for the trip. I and one of my school friends were the only two people for the trip.
He was supposed to come from Chennai. I was supposed to go from Bangalore. I booked a ticket for myself in TSRTC SETC. I didn't know much about the boarding points. So, while booking, I gave Hosur as the boarding point. Later, I got to know that Hosur was too far.
Then I thought I would wait a nearby stop and would call the bus operator. But, there was no number on the ticket. Bus came, didn't stop where I was waiting and I could never catch the bus.
That day, I learnt "Wait at the same stop where your boarding point is."
I came back. Booked a ticket for next day for Chennai. Reached Chennai by night. Slept at my friend's house and left for Pondicherry the next morning.

Reached Pondicherry by 8 AM. Since, check-in time of hotel was 12PM, so, we thought to go beaches till then. We booked a scooty and started roaming Pondicherry.
This is the pic of the beach with a little HDR scape.
After spending some time on the beach, I called the hotel to see if we can check-in before 12. The hotel said they had already cancelled their tie up with OYO and hence we would be denied entry.
We searched for a hotel locally and it costed us 1500 for 24 hours from the check-in time.
After getting fresh and having lunch, we took out scooty and left for roaming the UT.
We went to Aurobindo Ashram, French colony, Church, Matrimandir, Rock beach, Bharati Park.
A pic with yellow building of the French colony is a must for Pondicherry visitors.
Finally, we went to enjoy the sunset of the beach. And, boy, the view was priceless.

Next day, we went to the Rock beach and spent some time there.
And before leaving, a pic on the clean roads of the city was a must.
Finally, we checked out of the hotel, took our bus back to Bangalore. A minion toy and a lot of memories were what we took with us back from Pondicherry.
The things that I learned on this trip.
1. Always wait for the bus at your boarding point.
2. Try to avoid state bus transport.
3. Book hotels locally. It costs less.
4. Book a scooty for local travelling other than hiring cab or auto.
5. Try local foods.
6. Travel as much as you can.
