Keeping in mind the driving points for Indian tourists visiting Korea for K-culture, K-drama and K-Pop, KTO is developing tour programmes with multiple collaborations with many travel agencies in Korea and India aimed at understanding the interests of both sides with an aim to promote tourism to the country!

Aim of The Korea Culture And Tourism Festival:

KTO is looking at working with the Indian partners to actively promote MICE tourism to the country. They are building a network of companies and introducing their programmes to be used as an incentive tour. At the same time, also offering financial support to the visiting tours.

Main Benefits of The Incentive Scheme:

Earlier in June 2023, KTO had announced a special incentive scheme at an event in Mumbai held in collaboration with OTOAI. The main benefits include providing travel agents with prizes of INR 2,500 per passenger and support for quick, simple and hassle-fee tour visas for visitors to Korea between June and December 2023! Perhaps, Korea could consider ease of travel for subsequent visits by Indian travellers or open it to those holding Shengen visa and look at introducing more flights to improve connectivity!

KTO data reveals that Indian visitors to Korea had surpassed 49,580 by June 2023, with projections reaching an impressive 120,000 by December 2023!

To further strengthen the connection, KTO has appointed Indian television actress and model, Anushka Sen, as the Honorary Ambassador of Korea Tourism from India.
