We reached Mcleodganj from Delhi early in the morning, around 5 am. We stopped at a chai stall. The view was mesmerising so we spent an hour there. We walked up to the main city. It was just 2kms from the bus stop, booked a hotel and freshened up for the trip ahead.
We went to bhagsu waterfall. It's not that great so don't waste your time climbing those stairs and wasting your energy. Instead of that, take a turn and go to shiva café nearby. It's a small trek and totally worth it. The view and the ambience is amazing. Don't forget to try the chocolate ball there.
After shiva café, we headed to a sunset point nearby. And obviously, we had maggi and chai.
After these 3 places, we went shopping in the nearby market and marked an end to this day.
On the second day, we decided to go for the triund trek. We booked a cab from Mcleodganj that drove us to the starting point of the trek which was 3 kms. The trek was of 6-7 kms. It's an easy trek so don't book a guide, it's a wastage of money(Guide takes 1.5k). Also, you'd find a lot of people on the way. You're not allowed to carry any sort of drugs. They check your bags.
The trek is beautiful and when you reach the top, the view is breathtaking. The food on the top is kinda expensive. The maggi was of 200 bucks! You can choose to stay on the top but it was raining so we didn't have an option. We came back at around 6 in the evening. It's beautiful when you trek down in the evening. City lights and good music is a perfect combination for good vibes.
We were really tired after the trek so we didn't do anything after that. We ate a lot though. Oh yes, don't forget to carry eatables on your trek!
We spent the third day in Dharamshala. We went to this café, Illiterati. It's a must visit café. It has everything to calm you down, books, coffee, good music, good food and an amazing view.
Next up, we went to several monasteries.
We headed back to Delhi that night.
Our total expenditure was around 10k per person.
