Club it with the magical Thar Desert with twinkling nights and blazing days, and you cannot ask for a better experience in life. Right? Wrong!
What if you were told that your fascinating Rajasthani vacation can be enhanced? Yes! Imagine open skies, sand as far as the eye can see and some of the best artists performing on the stage in the middle of it all! That is exactly what Mahindra Open Sky offers.
What is the Mahindra Open Sky?
Mahindra Open Sky is travel, music and adventure, all rolled into one big extravaganza. Taking place from November 24 to 26, this intimate mehfil or gathering of 500 people promises you the chance of living the nomadic life, exploring the wilderness, listening to great music while you chill on the soft sand, eating authentic home cooked meals, staying in a nice tent, camping in the desert and doing the things you always wanted to. This fest is the physical manifestation of Mahindra's tag line – ‘We live young, we live free, we are the living!’
Held in Osian, a small town near the blue city Jodhpur, this spectacular event will have electrifying performances by Papon, Ayushman Khurana, Sam Lewis, Parekh & Sons and many more. The performances will begin as the sun sets and a million stars decorate the inky desert skies. An open air movie screening on the soft sands with some hot chocolate and cozy blankets will follow the performances, converting a simple evening in the desert into an enchanting musical experience. But that's not all. There's more! As the day ends, you get a chance to unwind around a bonfire, with an eclectic acoustic set by the inimitable Nikhil D’Souza singing his signature melodic tunes.
For those who wish to mix adventure with music, there will be off-roading expeditions where you can learn how to handle big, burly 4x4s in their element. Experts will introduce you to the world of four-wheel drives and teach you the basics of off-road adventure driving in the desert. You get to drive vehicles from the Mahindra fleet in a thrilling two-hour session. There is also a chance to explore the villages around the campsite in a luxury vehicle, giving you a truly Rajasthani royal experience.
For those who like fine things in life, what can be better than seeing the sun set, and the skies buttered in golden hues, with a champagne flute in hand? Yes! Champagne sunsets is a special experience that you can sign up for while at Mahindra Open Sky. You will be taken to a quiet spot on the dunes (not hard to find) and you can sit, watch the sun set, as you enjoy a glass of bubbly champagne!
There are many more activities on offer for those who wish to indulge in them. You can check out the entire list of activities here.
