Thembang Village looks straight out of the show Vikings

During my incredible journey to Thembang Village in Dirang, Arunachal Pradesh, I felt like I had stepped back in time, almost a thousand years. The village's ancient charm and picturesque surroundings made it look as if it was taken straight out of the show Vikings. The breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural heritage left me in awe.

What made my experience even more memorable was the warm hospitality of the locals. I was fortunate to meet a kind localite who generously guided me through the village, sharing fascinating stories and historical insights. Their knowledge of the place and its traditions helped me connect with the essence of Thembang in a profound way.

One of the most intriguing highlights of the village was the ancient jail, steeped in history, where the legendary King Cha Cha Nye once held his prisoners. The king ruled this place a thousand years ago. The jail's thousand-year-old existence fascinated me, and I couldn't help but imagine the events that took place within its walls centuries ago. It was a testament to the rich and complex history that shaped the village and the region.

As I explored the nooks and crannies of Thembang, every corner seemed to reveal a new story. The traditional architecture of the houses, adorned with intricate carvings, offered a glimpse into the village's unique cultural heritage. The locals' traditional attire and the vibrant festivities added a sense of authenticity to my experience.
