The Rann Utsav is organised every year between November-February
This place gets converted into an unbelievable city with tents, markets, sound shows and many more -a complete festival.
The tents vary from non a/c to a/c to Maharaja to Vip to VVIP.
Our tent was VVip as we were travelling for a special occasion
which was our third wedding anniversary.
This is how our tent looked.
After freshening up a little and having a delicious meal we made it our way to the "Rann"
There was a camel cart organised for us to visit the Rann , it was a fun ride and we enjoyed it to the core.
In about 15 mins we got to the "White Rann" it was a complete salt desert , white as snow and absolutely beautiful.
We got here a little before the sunset , while waiting for the sunset
we took some pictures.
Cherishing the beauty around.
Day -3
Day 3 was planned to visit the highest peak of Gujrat , known as the "KALO DUNGAR" which means the "BLACK HILL".
We started post lunch for this as its the Sunset that one visits to this place for.
Indeed! one of the best sunsets i witnessed.
This is how the drive to the Kalo Dungar looks like.
We had to stop for some pictures.
after an amazing drive we got to the black hill as phrased.
and this is how the sunset view from the hill was.
Took a few more pictures in the beautiful dusk.
Before we made our way back to the tent city.
By the time we got to the Tent city it was night and the city was well lite and looked amazing.
Next day was the day for us to depart to Bhuj and them to Ahmadabad and eventually Delhi.
It was a long hectic day so we started early post breakfast and before we left we had to take a mandatory picture.
This trip was about witnessing beautiful Sunsets and Sunrise.
A complete treat with some amazing Gujarati meals and an amazing experience of the "Great Rann"
