DAY 1

We had a long way to cover and didn’t want to get stuck into NCR traffic. We were travelling with our Ford Ecosport And only my husband drives, I act like a map, DJ and the food provider 😊.

We started early in morning and left Noida at 5 am. We had to see the Fog situation as well and luckily that day weather was bit clear. Though after crossing Rewari, we encountered dense fog but till then we had planned to halt for breakfast and wait for sun to rise.

Yes, you are right we crossed whole NCR in 1.5 hrs. driving within speed limits.

Travelling through Jaipur – Ajmer – Beawar – Pali – Sirohi, we had planned to stay overnight on Abu Road. But fortunately, we reached before time at 4pm and hence decided to move bit uphill to Mt Abu .an add on in our trip.

Tip : drive in advised speed limits which is 80—90 km/hr. you never know when you get to meet traffic police on highway.

In Mt Abu, its chilly, carry your woolens, Places to visit: Nakki Lake, Dilwara Temples, Guru Shikhar, toad rock. Market is small and you get to eat Gujrati thali and Punjabi cuisine as well. There are number of hotels but make prior bookings if travelling on holidays and weekends.

DAY 2

MT ABU – DHOLAVIRA VIA PATAN

We checked out at 9 post breakfast. We wanted to visit UNESCO world heritage site of “Rani ki Vav” which was bit off route for us. but who is coming back again.. and here we were.. visiting this beautiful stairwell. Now I came to know why it made its place in Indian currency note.

From there we headed towards our second stop , a bit offbeat place . we chose to ditch famous tent city of Rann to stay in Dholavira, primarily famous for Harrapan site but it is center of rann of kutch.

Unlike the mainland, its secluded and isolated. Just two resorts to stay and nothing much to do. but it gives u better view of white sand dessert.

Places to stay :Dholavira tourist resort.

Places to visit : Fossil park, Harappan site, Flamingo lake and ofcourse great Rann .

Tip: no city nearby, make a booking prior to visit this place.

DAY 3

DHOLAVIRA – DWARKADISH( VIA JAMNAGAR)

After a serene and peaceful night and post breakfast, we headed towards our next stop “ Dwarka”. Road to Dwarka via Jamnagar is in bad shape due to construction. May be in an year it will be one of the best roads but not at this time.

While onlooking Great Refineries of Jamnagar, we reached Dwarkadhish in 10 hrs and due to road conditions , it was bit tiring . But our spirits were still high. Checked into one of the best located hotel “lords eco inn” with very amazing view of Dwarka Beach.

Everything is very close by. Post checking in and some refreshments , we were standing in front of temple. Mobiles, smart watches, camera and other electronic devices are not allowed in the premises. So either leave them in your room if your hotel is nearby or deposit it in cloak room. They just keep your stuff tied in rubberband but trust me everything is safe.

You find all vegetarian food especially Gujarati food all over the place. Very reasonable and yummilicous . we found one street restaurant near municipal office run by Rasik Bhai. They prepare the food in front of you and trust me guys , you have never eaten this cheap and amazing food ever. A must try.

Day 4

We visited Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirling, Badkeshwar Mahadev, Rukmani Temple, Gopi Talav next day.

For Bet Dwarka, drive towards Okha port, take up a ferry (they fill it to its maximum capacity which is 150 people I guess) and ye that too in covid times. Struggliung with other people love for seagull, we reached Bet Dwarka and since I really hate crowd , we returned asap.

Tip : do not wear any thing thts above ur calves (skirt, short, dress) or you wont be allowed to enter the temple.

Do visit Nageshwar Jyotirling . A quaint place .

You can definitely skip Gopi Talav. Dwaraka Beach is a must visit.

Day 6 -7

Dwarka – Diu via Somanth.

While going to Diu, one can never skip visiting Somanth Jyotirling. Its amazing built but yes like before nothing is allowed inside the temple. You have to deposit everything in the cloakroom. It’s a huge premises and amazing place to visit. They have their sound and light show every evening. So if you are staying in Somnath, it’s a must visit. Gir national Park is close by as well so if staying here, make a trip to the park . You never get to see lions anywhere else.

We had to skip the park due to timings so we directlky headed to Diu. Took a place near Nagao beach. Its best among them. With all the water sports at cheapest price as comparison to Goa.

Places to visit :

Gangeshwar Mahadev mandir, Diu fort, INS khukhri memorial, sunset point, Jalandhar Beach, Ghoghla beach, Nagao beach.

You find vegetarian food everywhere, but it has very good option for booze and seafood as well.

DAY 8

Travel towards Ahmedabad . But we actually stayed in Mehsana so that we could travel to Modhera and visit Sun temple before leaving for our home.

Day 9

Travel towards Noida via Jaipur .
