So I am mentioning five unexplored places of North Bengal where you must visit in your next trip.
1)Doban Valley-If you want to spend a couple of days just talking with nature and giving time to yourself then Doban Valley is a must worth visit.If you plan to visit silk route then you can very well stay a couple of days in Doban Valley.It is a place where Reshi and Rangpo rivers meet.Surrounded by dense forests and grasslands,you will simply fall asleep to the sound of meandering waters along with the sweet chirping of birds.Silence prevails there so much that you can feel the sound of your heartbeat.
Doban meaning two.Do meaning two and Ban meaning a place.So its name is Doban.Its the sub division of Kalimpong but to reach this valley,you have to come from Rorathang side of East Sikkim.

2)Ahaldara- Ahaldara is a beauty of Shelpu Hills in Kursheong District. It is a small hilltop which is located 5 km from Latpanchar.It is the beautiful serene place where you will find a 360 degree view of Kanchenjungha.From NJP,Ahaldara is just 40 km.This place is famous for sunrise and sunset view.From the hilltop the view is marvellous.It is one of the unexplored places of North Bengal.Ahaldara is 4500 feet from sea level.Ahaldara can be reached through Latpanchar.From Kalijhora,there is an uphill drive which leads to Latpanchar.From there,you can trek and reach Ahaldara.

3)Rangaroon-Rangaroon is a small hamlet surrounded by tea gardens which is 6000 feet above sea level and is only 16 km from Darjeeling.It is considered as one of the offbeat places of North Bengal.
Those who like solitude and want to spend time with themselves they will surely like this place.From Rangaroon,one can visit the beautiful Rangaroon Tea Garden,observatory cave,the Rungdung River,Darjeeling,Ghum Monastry,Batasia Loop etc. and adjoining Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary.This place is a part of 38 square km stretched Senchal Wildlife Sanctuary.It is termed as tobacco free zone and very neat and clean.
If you want to visit Rangaroon,first you have to reach Jorebunglow and then take the road to Lamhatta.

4)Chataidhura-Its a newly found offbeat destination just 18 km from Darjeeling.Its more than 6000 feet above sea level.Its a pristine village surrounded by snow capped himalayan peaks and dense coniferous forest.You can visit some of the spots from Chataidhura like there is a very beautiful Shiv Mandir of Chataidhura dedicated solely to Lord Shiva.,Hawaghar View point which is build to get a stunning panoramic view of Kanchenjunga and surrounding scenery.However you can also visit the places which are near to Darjeeling.There are a number of darjeeling bound shared jeeps from NJP or Bagdogra which will take you to this serene place.

5)Ghalaytar-Ghayaltar is situated in Upper Sittong.It is an unexplored beautiful Lepcha village in Karseong.It is very close to Latpanchor and Namthing.As it is one of the most untouched destination of Darjeeling Himalayan Foothills so its covered by lush green forests.Very few homestays have grown up in this area.Every Sittong village is a garden and every garden has orange trees.Every where where your eye goes there are tea gargens welcoming you to stay for a couple of days or more.There are not much to see from this place.You can visit to Ahaldara or just trek through the jungles and feel the silence and soothe your eyes by seeing the beautiful nature.
Accomodation-There are quite a few homestays in Sittong.There are no direct staying options in Ghayaltar.
