India is generally characterized as a hot and humid region, with an average yearly temperature of more than 25 degrees. Manali is one of India’s top winter destinations. Snow-capped peaks, flowing valleys, and gushing rivers are the major highlights which set Manali apart from other destinations. Enjoy the snowy views from the comfort of your hotel or from one of many iconic and artistic cafés with a cup of hot chocolate or a coffee. This picturesque hill station is home to the highest cricket stadium in the world at nearly 4,800 ft. It is also home to the 14th Dalai Lama, some of the most charming monasteries, enchanting waterfalls, and laid back cafes. Arguably one of the most visited winter destination in India, Shimla is one of the safest bets for a winter vacay. Shimla is flooded with tourists all year around, but winters bring out the best of this hill station also known as the queen of the hills. From December to March, a winter carnival is also organized in the city. Travelers can also engage in activities like ice skating, skiing, paragliding, toy trains, etc. Shimla also serves as a base for routes to other stunning places like Kufri, Narkanda and Mashbora.

A visit to Kashmir is incomplete without a visit to the captivating capital city of Srinagar. Post-snowfall views in Srinagar are a sight to behold.
