Day 1

Winter time is not at all ideal time for planning for Sikkim tour..not North Sikkim to be precise but South- Eastern Sikkim region is preferably okay to be there. Make planning either before December or after December as people get stuck during winter time due to heavy snowfall and landslides. But if anyone wants to see snowfall and snow capped mountains then can plan to visit in February but April- May is preferably better time to go.

Local sightseeing of Gangtok includes Tashi view point, Ganesh tok, Hanuman tok, Flower exhibition centre and Do Drul Chorten Stupa. Because of the foggy weather, the Kanchenjunga peak and other mountain peaks were not clearly visible to look at.

Day 2

With the clear, sunny morning, next day, we went to Namchi. There we saw Char Dham, Siddeshwar Dham and Temi tea garden.

Char dham is for those people who haven't experienced the four Dhams of India - Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri and also some notable pilgrimages of India like Jagannath Temple of Puri, Dwarka and so on, can easily see the replicas of those places here- all in one.

Next is about Siddheshwar Dham. It boasts of about a 110 ft tall idol of Lord Shiva along with 12 Jyotirlingas - very beautiful places to see and i will personally recommend to visit this place.

One tea garden of Namchi, i would definitely mention is about Temi tea garden. For tea lovers, this place with all its beauty and serenity will attract for sure. So one should emerge into the sensational aroma of tea leaves of Temi garden. Aaahh!! I simply love this aroma and i will constantly fall for this aroma again and again. So people go for it.

One more place in Namchi to mention is known as Samdruptse hills. It has the tallest statue of Guru Padma Sambhava- nice spot for excursion.

Day 3

Well coming to the end of our trip is Ravangla. The one and only place worth mentioning is Buddha Park.

Such a magnificient place is this park. I am simply spell bound at its beauty. What a place- simply enigmatic with all its grandeur and splendour. Inside the park, there lies a fountain, monastery and convocation auditorium. The monastery hosted 100 Buddhist studies in various positions and poses.

In the midst of the whole trip, one thing memorable happened was that the celebration of 31st and advent of 1st with my whole family..with Rock music, dinner and drinks- total pub culture.

FOOD AND SHOPPING DESTINATION:

Well for food and shopping destination, M.G. road of Gangtok is a much more convenient option. There are momo stalls beside mall, also small street food stalls, restaurants, cafes and pubs as well.

We did a lot of shopping from the nearby stores like woollen garments, silver -stone jewelries, show pieces and so on. Infact, we had ice-cream also in the cold wintery, chilly weather.

As we visited this place during winters, so we even faced foggy, rainy weather also which trust me is not at all a good timing recommendation to go to the mountains.

Package tour booking:

Whichever Sikkim package tour, one wants to book, they can of their own choice but not from the thrillophilia. We had a very bad experience throughout the trip. That is why, our Sikkim trip was not at all a happy trip.
