I think there not be many who have not seen the most expensive movie ever made in the history of Indian cinema - Bahubali. A whopping 250 crore budget and a lot was spend on the surrealistic sets that were erected to recreate the Indian mythology. It received several awards and it was the highest grosser in India. The sets made the fantasy look so very real. A major part of the shooting was done at Ramoji Film City including the war scenes.

Interested to see the sets where the shooting took place?

The sets won't be there for ever, so before they are dismantled, go visit Ramoji Film City once and relive the Bahubali moments, and of course you can freeze them in your selfies for your Whatsapp and Facebook DPs.

Apart from the sets, the shooting of this movie took place in three other places. In Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Maharastra.

Day 1

Come to Hyderabad for this visual treat. I think any one who comes to Hyderabad does four things:

Enojy Biryani

Relish Irani Chai with Osmania Biscuits

See Charminar

And,

Visit Ramoji Film City.

Day 2

At a distance of 229 kilometers from Hyderabad, you find Orvakal Rock Gardens in Kurnool District. The natural rock formations in this area provided a good backdrop for the mythological story of Bahubali and the shooting was done here.

Day 3

And if you travel a distance of 1,097 kilometers from Hyderabad, tucked in Thrissur District of Kerala, God's own Country, you will reach the other spot where the shooting of Baahubali took place - Athirapally Falls. This Falls is nicknamed as the Niagara of India and is the largest waterfalls in Kerala.

Day 4

Mahabaleshwar - The very name evokes the beauty of the region - lush green forests and the mountain range of the western ghats. Quite a number of scenes of Baahubali were shot here.

A small piece of advice:

Now that you have seen all the places where Baahubali was shot, now go see the movie again. The thrill of having seen the sets and the places where it was shot, makes watching the movie again even more magical.

Relive the magical moments of Baahubali!
