Over the years I’ve learned that no matter how tough life gets, hitting the road is always a recipe for feeling great again. Sometimes you just need to drop everything and get out.
And that's what we all are feeling these days since the lockdown happened obviously its not at all easy for each one of us staying inside the home for 24 seven but we don't have option either:( But hey, listen I've got things planed out after this pandemic and first thing in this list is ROAD TRIP. (here I am sharing a list of the road trips which one should plan)
The roads are well connected with Delhi and Haridwar. Chopta is about 226 kms away from Haridwar and will take about 8 -10 hours to reach here. It is absolutely safe to travel to Chopta. But beware, the wildlife dwelling in Chopta region isn't this much friendly and tourists are advised not to roam around in the Jungle after the sunset! Chopta region falls under Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary.Hence, the best time to visit Chopta is during Summer from March to May. The climate is temperate and the terrain is deciduous, which means that Chopta experiences drastic changes through the seasons. The same area that looks lush and fertile in summer is arid and snowy in winter.
If you are looking for a weekend trip from Delhi just for a day or two this is one of the best escape with a easy brizzy drive.
You can reach Agra from New Delhi by travelling in a train. New Delhi to Agra train takes approximately 1 h 25 m. You can catch a train from New Delhi and get down at Agra. Better to avoid traveling at night but if you have to travel then don't use Yamuna expressway at night. Police constantly issue warnings about the gangs operating at night. Better to use old Delhi Agra highway (NH2).
Mukteshwar is famous for its Shiv temple called the Mukteshwar temple. Mukteshwar is a favorite destination for adventure sports and is quite famous for its rock climbing and rappelling events. Mukteshwar is a village and tourist destination in the Nainital district of Uttarakhand, India. It sits high in the Kumaon Hills at an altitude of 2171 meters, 51 km from Nainital, 72 km from Haldwani, and 343 km from Delhi.Mukteshwar is situated at a distance of 333 km from Delhi. A popular hill station located at an altitude of 7500 feet above sea level, Mukteshwar is well connected to Delhi by road and train. However, the best way to reach Mukteshwar from Delhi is by road, a journey of about 7 hours by car.
McLeodganj is considered to be one of the most affordable tourist destinations. You can easily plan a budget trip to this place, as nothing will more or less go beyond your budget. If you are not in mood to drive approximately 500 KM then the easiest road trip you can get A number of state government and private buses connect Mcleodganj (Volvos )from Delhi.
The stays in Dharamshala & McLeod Ganj are totally safe for backpackers. You will see a lot of solo backpackers including women staying in hostels, guest houses and hotels all around Mcleodganj. I would recommend travellers to stay at Mcleodganj and Dharamkot instead of the main Dharamshala town.
Every journey is simultaneously a beginning and an ending: I was leaving my old life behind and starting on a road trip to find a new me. that's exactly I feel when I went on a Road Trip and spiti valley is one such which I feel one should go for once in their life :) Spiti Valley can be reached via two routes. You can either start your journey from Manali via Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass or you can start from Shimla and reach Spiti via Kinnaur. Both routes have their own set of pros and cons.
Spiti is in fact notorious for damaged condition of its roads for all 12 months. The stretch between Manali and Kaza will probably one of the worst roads you would have ever been on. The safety here will depend on two factors; your time of travel and your experience at the wheel.
