Pre Lockdown Girls' Trip to Paradise

Pondicherry was always on my list maily cos of Bay of Bengal,to see sunrise on beach and then for both south india and French cuisine food😋.Booked tickets 2 months before the date & did all research. And the day comes up🤩.We were travelling from Pune to Pondicherry by Chennai Egmore Express on Saturday @ 1 A.M.
It was total 30hrs of journey but we didn't get bored cos of Food,Endless talks and entertaining people around. I love traveling by Railways from childhood cos everytime that compartment gets converted into home itself.
We actually crossed borders of 3 states in this journey like Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamilnadu to reach Pondicherry.

On Women's Day morning we reached to Pondicherry.🥰 Then Directly moved to Flat booked by Airbnb,that was nice and specious flat .Flat owner organised scooty for us.we freshen up and decided to go to Aurovile. After first lovely south Indian breakfast in Pondicherry we headed towards Aurovile and as month of March expecting heat but don't know somehow lil bit rain came up and scooty ride starts with beautiful breeze 😍. Aurovile is well maintained and beautiful place we ever visited. It is very disciplined.We wanted to do meditation in Matrimandir but we didn't get reservations for any of our dates,so as we don't have any option we saw Matri Mandir from outside & decided to go to most heard restaurant "Bread & Chocolate". If you are foodie then it's must visit Place. After that we decided to go Aurovile beach which is near to high way only..It was sunset untill we reached there,so beach was lil bit crowded and but it was first time I saw Bay of Bengal 😍 Clean & Beautiful Bay of Bengal..🤩

After Reaching to our Flat we decided to go to rock beach for night walk. Its Marine drive of Pondicherry.🥰. We enjoyed that cold breeze of rock beach till late night.

On 2nd day in Pondicherry we decided to go to Paradise beach ,but before that we wanted to have special cashew Uttapa with Vada curry at Murgan Cafe. so we had that yummy breakfast and had Chennai's Famous Jigarthanda in front of Murgan Cafe.. Pondicherry is just heaven for foodie..

After heavy breakfast headed towards paradise beach and while we didn't get that we had to go by boat 😅 but we directly reached to Paradise beach. It is very clean and less crowded beach. There is concept called private beach we have to pay some to them and then we can use huts and changing rooms they had..But relaxing under that huts on beach is itself paradise..

Go back from paradise beach after sunset we had A1 biryani at some biryani place and again took white City ride at night with Must Have Icecream from GMT Icecream place near rock beach.

One of the most important thing why we came to see bay of Bengal is watching sunrise on beachside 😍.
We started our journey on our scooty to Serenity beach to watch rising sea over water....That morning was the best morning of our lives..It's so soothing and relaxing that no one can picture it by words..

After watching beautiful sunrise we tried for surfing,cos it was also in our checklist but it too require prior booking so we missed it.
P.S : if you want to do surfing there are some surfing school near serenity beach,check online and book prior. We headed back to flat ,freshen up and decided to have city tour. "South India gaye aur kafi nai piye to kya khak south india gaye", tried amazing filter coffee from sai ram coffee,chetty Street.So we visited church near railway station,then visited Aurobindo Ashram. It is also peaceful place to visit in Pondicherry. Took a tour from white town and had multiple photos as white town has some good spots for Instagram photos 😬.
And again missed chance to meet Kiran Bedi Ji cos of Corona 🤕... To make our mind cos of some unchecked points of our checklist headed back to rock beach and had great coffee in Rock Cafe

Last Day in Pondicherry we had some time so we decided to visit aurovile again. Visited some musiam over there which shows history of Matri Mandir and all programs held over there.There is sound garden (Swaram) in Aurovile ,which we saw on YouTube videos,that too had specific time and we missed that too😅. Visited one over rated pizza place and had some pizza and pasta..and headed towards chennai via Mahabalipuram through east costal road..,coast is parallel to road 😍 There are lot of AC buses available from pondicherry bus stand which will stop to Mahabalipuram & it's just 2 hrs of beautiful journey.

As we reached to Bypass of Mahabalipuram,there were autowale uncles + guide who was offering package to show entire Mahabalipuram in 3-4 hrs but as we had only a hour,he showed us light house and shore temple. There are two light house,one is old temple at hight built by some King and another built by British..We can see sea from 3 sides from that lighthouse..After quick journey to Mahabalipuram we headed back to Chennai Airport to came back to Pune by flight..Pre Corona best trip with best memories for my entire lockdown period and which already created itinerary for next visit to Pondicherry 😍
