Perfect weekend getaway from Bangalore and when planned well it is pocket-friendly too. Food is amazing and spend most of your money on it because it's totally worth it.

Costed around 3000/- per person for the whole trip.
White Town is the beauty of the Pondicherry city. This is the part of the city that you will fall in love with. The French influence is evident in the buildings and city plan. The beach guesthouse we stayed was just 10mts from Promenade . The place is a bliss and you can spend a pleasant evening walking or just seeing the tides hit the shore. Also , Since the place we stayed was just so near by, we spent mornings and evenings looking the abundance that is the Sea .
Auroville-The Universal city is a great place one must visit in Pondicherry. We find the true human spirit alive with no man-mad contamination like caste, creed, race. You feel the utmost peace and the Matri Mandir is very beautiful and a sight worth the walk. The pottery and other handicrafts we bought were very artistic and economic too.
This is where you see the other side of the beauty that is Pondicherry. If the French architecture and city take you to France and So do the Serene beaches. They are not crowded unlike Juhu or Chowpatty. According to me the right way to enjoy these beaches are to visit them around 5 in the evening with a couple of beers (They are cheaper in Pondicherry) and enjoy the sunset as the tides hit your feet and wash down all the stress of buzzing city life.
God bless these Pizzas !!!
We ordered Californian and Indian Pizzas. They were such a treat. I loved this place and the food that soothes the soul. Pastas were great too. This is on the way to Auroville and a must visit for all Pizza lovers
The French style bakery has amazing French baked dishes. I loved the quiche and eclair. Little expensive but worth the buzz.
