PasiGhat....

Tripoto

The north east is the new hot destination for most Indian Travellers. One such beautiful town valley is Pasighat, the headquarter of East Siang District,of Arunachal Pradesh and is the favourite destination of tourist and backpackers.

Out of the many pretty towns that are spread across Arunchal Pradesh , seldom do we find that aren't filled with explorers and tourist. Starting our journey from Dibrugarh a small town in Assam chasing the sun , we reached Pasighat around noon time.

The bridge

Its a scenic place , specially the outskirt of the town, like the driving on those roads with River Siang on one side, landslide prone mountains on the other, colourful trees on the left, was the most high point of the trip.

Somewhat reaching around 1 at noon the view was just breathtaking, having the long journey for four to five hrs, tiring our soul, at the end it was really worth it , the place we chose to visit was::

on the way to the bridge

Pongging Hanging Bridge

One of the least populated village of Arunachal Pradesh, India

In a small village with a population of almost 339 and about 50 houses, This bridge is made of metal & bamboo frame

It is the only way of transportation for the villagers...

The visitors enjoy the hanging bridge since one can view the splendid view of the river which is surrounded by green hills & it is really joyful to view the natural beauty.

Just to get close to that bridge one has to trek down 300 steps , trekking down so many steps, we finally managed to reach the bridge, surrounded by mountains. Climbing down, we got to experience of the hanging bridge made of bamboo and suspended with metal wire. The bridge seemed so scary at first that I felt it will fall in no time. According to the locals, the bridge can carry five people at a time. However, fear inside me gave way to fun of swinging on the bridge across the Siang.

finally!!

It has the magic!!

Trekking down a few more steps , we finally managed to reach the river, surrounded by mountains. We got down on the river and sat on a rock sinking our feet in the ice-cold water and enjoying the view feeling the pebbles underneath the river. Though we were sun tanned yet we could not stop but admire the nature.

The whole trip was so serene getting to experience the mesmerising roads with the natural scenic beauty unaffected by pollution. This place surely gave me and my friends a calm and positive aura and a refreshing mind to go back to our daily schedule of life.
